Amazing and exhilarating travel experience. Food, wine and sightseeing was over the top experience.
I just returned from the September trip to Spain. The trip was a true experience. I had waited for for 18 months to for this vacation and it was well worth the wait. Ralph's planning and preparations are excellent and I waded through the international travel bureaucracy with ease. Accommodations were amazing. We stayed in terrific rooms in 14th century properties after a three day add-on trip to Barcelona.
The food is amazing! Each included multiple courses of traditional Spanish food and included a full meal prepared by a local gastronomic society. If you have never done a pub crawl enjoying wine and tapas, you haven't lived. Spanish wine is terrific and we visited several wineries and learned about the cultivation and creation of the local vintages...even a winery in caves below the city. Lots of tasting!
Each segment of the trip includes a very experienced local guide who knows both the sites and history of the area. The small group size quickly becomes a trip with friends just having a great time. Will I do it again? You better believe it!
My husband and I traveled with Ralph to the Basque region of Spain this past September. It was our first experience with All Campagna and it will definitely not be our last. First of all, Ralph researches all his trips so thoroughly that you get to enjoy all the wonderful activities, events and accommodations that he chooses for his trips. I can not rave enough about our trip to Spain. Oh my gosh, the food was unbelievable, and let's not forget the wine! His trips are such a nice small size that everyone becomes like family by the end of the trip! I can not wait to try our next adventure with Ralph.
I was on the Dordogne trip in September. It was great to finally get there after a 2 year wait. The acomodations were FABULOUS. Who wouldn't like staying in a real castle?
Ralph did a great job of sending out the information we needed to prepare for the trip and information about getting to the rendevous point.
Our host, Miles, was full of great stories told in his medieval dining hall in front of a roaring fire. He was also our chauffeur and gave us history about the villages we visited, which were all very picturesque for the photographers in the group.
The food and libations were top notch, thanks to Chris and Sam. They were very congenial and put up with all of us gathering in their kitchen for impromptu happy hours.
I have been to France 9 times now, but never to the Dordogne. It's a beautiful area with many small villages on winding country lanes. It was great to visit them, as well as visiting ruins, and a caviar shop, where we got to tour the facility. I never thought I liked caviar until I tasted theirs! It was fresh and not overly salty. Yum.
I am a Francophile but if it had been my first visit to France, it would have been a great introduction to the beautiful country and friendly people there. I was the newcomer in the group. All other travelers had traveled with Ralph before. I was welcomed and quickly made to feel as if I'd known them all for a long time. it was also great to have just 8 travelers, not a huge tour bus full of people. Kudos to Ralph and Miles for putting together a great experience.
We hate pop ups, too, but you’re definitely going to want in on this.
